Gampi Natural Smooth paper is machine-made in Japan of 100% kozo.  Artists who need a smooth but absorbent surface for printmaking, calligraphy, collage, and drawing tend to favor papers made from Gampi fibers. It has a natural sizing, restricting the amount of bleed when written or painted on. And as the name implies, this paper has a lovely, smooth surface and the characteristic gampi sheen. It has an attractive warm tone and small bits of darker bark called chiri, giving it extra character and an organic look. Image shows 6" square. Full size sheet is 25" x 37"
